Herb Alpert's Black Totems sculpture installation was exhibited at Ace Gallery, Beverly Hills, in 2010. Curatorial Assistance produced and published an exhibition catalogue of the same name, with photography by Philipp Scholz Ritterman and an essay by Hunter Drohojowska-Philp. The sculptures represent the culmination of over a decade of work in the sculpting studio. Since 1970 Alpert has presented his sculpture and paintings in over twenty solo and group exhibitions worldwide, and in 2010 he was the subject of a BBC documentary.
