Curatorial Assistance occasionally hires interns to assist in the Traveling Exhibitions Department. Interns gain valuable direct experience in all areas of exhibition planning, preparation, marketing, and administration.
Position Description: The Exhibitions Intern assists the Director and Exhibitions Manager in performing the administration and marketing of approximately 20 traveling exhibitions. Duties include preparation and distribution of marketing, educational, and press materials; organizing registration materials, such as checklists, condition reports, exhibit packing lists; preparation of exhibition text panels and labels; assistance with department publications including annual exhibitions catalogue, newsletter, and web site.
Location: Curatorial Assistance, Inc. is located at 113 E. Union St., Pasadena, in the heart of Old Town. We are close to public transit, and can offer free parking to interns.
Schedule/Pay: Full-time and part-time available. Minimum of 12 hours per week. Course credit is possible. Schedule flexible, but we prefer interns to work two or more full days per week if possible. Curatorial Assistance office hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 5:00. This is an unpaid internship. Allowance for parking.
